Description

The ORP Sokół model is arriving in your collection! The legend of Polish submarines returns in 1:300 scale!

One of the most famous cards in the history of the Polish Navy can now take its place in your collection. ORP Sokół is an icon of wartime patrols and effectiveness, faithfully reproduced in a collectible 1:300 scale.

The model was designed as part of a coherent series of COBI historical ships, making it a perfect complement to other vessels in the same scale. The set was created in cooperation with the Polish Navy Museum in Gdynia, guaranteeing a high level of historical accuracy, attention to detail and faithful reproduction of the vessel's markings and silhouette.

One of the "Terrible Twins”

ORP Sokół was a U-class submarine transferred to Poland by Great Britain in 1941. It quickly became one of the most recognizable and effective units of the Polish Navy during World War II.

Operating primarily in the Mediterranean Sea, it became famous for numerous successful combat patrols and attacks on Axis forces, sinking at least 14 enemy vessels: 13 ships and one warship.

Together with ORP Dzik, it formed the legendary duo known as the "Terrible Twins," whose actions were characterized by effectiveness and courage, earning the respect of the enemy and the admiration of the Allies.

After the end of hostilities, Sokół was returned to the Royal Navy and was subsequently scrapped in 1949.

Key features of the ORP Sokół kit:

• Museum collaboration – the kit was released in collaboration with the Polish Naval Museum in Gdynia, guaranteeing high historical accuracy and substantive quality.

• 1:300 scale – realistic reproduction of the ship's silhouette, proportions and distinctive structural elements. Ideal for building a cohesive collection or maritime dioramas.

• High-quality workmanship – precisely fitted components and clearly reproduced details of the hull and conning tower.

• Collectible character – the model perfectly complements the COBI 1:300 scale ship series, alongside ORP Orzeł, ORP Dzik, HNoMS Uredd, HMS Upholder and German vessels such as the U-47 and U-96.

• Base with collector's plaque – an elegant display format featuring the ship's name and scale adds class and character to the model.

• Durable prints – all markings are printed on, without the use of stickers; they are durable and retain their quality for years.

• Age: 7+ – accessible construction and a satisfying end result for both beginner modelers and more experienced collectors.

• Clear instructions – intuitive and user-friendly for both younger builders and adult history enthusiasts.

• Ideal for display and play – the compact size and expressive form make the model a perfect addition to a collection and convenient for creating your own play scenarios.

• Expand your fleet – check out other COBI sets and expand your collection of historical ships. The 1:300 scale models offer a completely new perspective on naval warfare. Compare them with 1:700 scale ships and expand your collection even further.

Building and exploring the ORP Sokół model is like experiencing the courage and legend of the Terrible Twins. The 1:300 scale, the collaboration with the museum and full compatibility with other sets in the series make it a must-have for every collector and maritime history enthusiast.
