Goliath (Sd.Kfz. 302/303)

The Goliath was a German remote-controlled demolition vehicle used during World War II. Its mission was to deliver an explosive charge directly to the target. Controlled via a cable, the vehicle could destroy barricades, fortifications, and other terrain obstacles. Despite its small size and low profile, it was vulnerable to control cable damage and was relatively slow.

The Goliath in the Warsaw Uprising

During the Warsaw Uprising of 1944, German forces used Goliath vehicles to destroy barricades and fortifications built by the insurgents. Thanks to their compact size, they could maneuver between barricades and through urban ruins, reaching their designated targets directly. Insurgents often successfully disabled Goliath vehicles by cutting the control cables with shears or destroying them with grenades and improvised explosive devices before they could reach their targets.
